Usama bin Laden Biography Essays - 1450 Words

Usama bin Laden and His Selection Of Terrorism Usama bin Laden, born in 1957, comes from a wealthy Saudi Arabian family that owns a multinational construction business. He used his inherited wealth to finance Afghan forces fighting the Soviet Unions occupation of Afghanistan in the 1980’s. After the 1991 Gulf War, he was distressed that Saudi Arabia allowed U.S. forces to remain in the Arabian Peninsula. To advance his agenda of expelling the U.S. from the Islamic world, he worked with other anti-Western fundamentalists to organize a secretive, highly compartmentalized terrorist network, known as al-Qaida. How to Compare Two Novels in Comparative Essay

At some point in your literature studies, probably just about the time you get really good at finding the theme of a novel and coming up with a sound analysis of a single literary piece, you will be required to compare two novels. Your first task in this assignment will be to develop a good profile of both novels. You can do this by making a few simple lists of traits that might be comparable. For each novel, identify a list of characters and their roles in the story or important characteristics, and any important struggles, time periods, or major symbols (like an element of nature). You may also attempt to come up with book themes that could be comparable. Sample themes would include: Man versus nature (is each main character battling the elements?)Individual versus society (does each main character feel like an outsider?)Struggle between good and evil (are your characters involved in good v. evil scenarios?)Coming of age (do the main characters experience a tough lesson that makes them grow?) Your assignment will most likely give you direction as to whether you should find specific characters, story characteristics, or overall themes to compare. If it is not that specific, dont worry! You actually have a little more leeway. Comparing Two Novel Themes The teachers goal when assigning this paper is to encourage you to think and analyze. You no longer read for a surface understanding of what happens in a novel; you are reading to understand why things happen and what the deeper meaning  behind a character is a setting or an event. In short, you are expected to come up with an interesting comparative analysis. As an example of comparing novel themes, we will look at The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Red Badge of Courage. Both of these novels contain a coming of age theme since both have characters who grow a new awareness through tough lessons. Some comparisons you could make: Both characters have to explore the notion of civilized behavior in the societies where they exist. Each main character has to question the behavior of his male role models and his male peers. Each main character leaves his childhood home and encounters challenges. To craft an essay about these two novels and their similar themes, you would create your own list of similarities like those above, using a list, chart, or a Venn diagram. Sum up your overall theory about how these themes are comparable to create your thesis statement. Here is an example:Both characters, Huck Finn and Henry Fleming, embark on a journey of discovery, and each boy finds new understanding when it comes to traditional notions about honor and courage. You will use your common characteristic list to guide you as you create body paragraphs. Comparing Main Characters in Novels If your assignment is to compare the characters of these novels, you would make a list or Venn diagram to make more comparisons: Both characters are young menBoth question societys notion of honorBoth witness behavior that makes them question their role modelsBoth have a nurturing female influenceBoth question their former beliefs Comparing two novels is not as difficult as it sounds at first. Once you generate a list of traits, you can easily see an outline emerging.

Essays on Governmental, Proprietary, and Fiduciary Funds Assignment The paper "Governmental, Proprietary, and Fiduciary Funds" is a good example of an essay on finance and accounting. Governmental funds -  These are funds that are regarded as being used for typical governmental functions and they include the following. A debt-service fund is a form of a government fund that is fully devoted to the repayment of debt. This report analyses the causes and recommend certain solutions that Engro Foods should take to correct this situation. The report also clarifies that Olper`s Milk is 100% full of nutrition and have no harmful chemicals or bacteria which could cause diseases. INTRODUCTION:- Engro foods launched its most famous product Olper`s milk in the year 2006. Since then this product is highly demanded all over Pakistan. Recently many complaints have been made from our most valuable customers that milk was expired before the expiry date. This report comprises of facts and findings about this cause of failure of Olper`s milk due to which our bar of good will is decreasing. After study of this report you will be able to answer the following questions: * Who was responsible was this failure of Olper`s milk? * What are the reasons behind this problem? What initiative should be taken to solve this problem? CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS:- After completing all my research work and findings on this problem I came to a conclusion that the distributors of Olper`s milk were at fault, they played with our trust and good will. They removed the original expiry date form the tetra pack container of Olpers milk and printed a new expiry date just to avoid the consequences of over stocking of inventory. Olper`s milk is full of nutrition than any other tetra pack milk. It consists of some good nutritional fats that give it a rich flavor and taste. According to my survey of plant and dairy farm no harmful chemical of bleaching agent is added in our milk it’s pure and healthy. Following are the recommendations I conclude on the basis of my finding: * Engro foods should immediately break its contract with JAVED BROS. chain of distributors as they misused our product for their benefit and directly blamed our brand for providing expired milk. * Promotional deals should be launched for Olper`s milk for increasing its demand. * New advertisements should be on aired to promoting Olper`s milk and for gaining back the trust of our customers * JAVED BROS. hould be sued and compensation should be demanded. FACTS AND FINDINGS:- For finding the real causes behind our customers complains I made certain surveys and researches to come to a conclusion. The research findings presented here falls in to four categories: 1. Testing Expired Milk Before Expiry Date 2. Survey Of Plant In Sukkur 3. Chain Of Distributors 1) TESTING OF EXPIRED MIL K BEFORE EXPIRY DATE:- I started my work by testing the expired milk before expiry date to know about the actual damage of the milk. The results showed that milk was actually expired and had been curdled and a bit smelly. The expired milk contained a few percentage of urea in it which revealed that it was harmful and expired. Due to this reason our sales declined by a heavy margin in last month as compared to our competitors: Size (ml)|   |   | PERCENTAGE OF SALES IN NOVEMBER 2012|   |   |   | OLPER`S| HALEEB| MILKPACK | MILLAC| NIDO| 1000| 46| 45| 70| 45| 39| 500| 50| 65| 85| 57| 49| 250| 13| 12| 19| 10| 20| This rapid decrease of sales came with no of complaints as well and I compared the complaints of last three months and found out that that in November complaints were increased by 90%. ) SURVEY OF SUKKUR PLANT:- After testing the expired milk I visited our milk processing plant in Sukkur and there I came to know that Olper`s milk is being processed in the correct way and no harmful chemicals are being added in it to make the expiry process earlier. The nutritional values of our milk are in accordance with those suggest by World`s Health Organization Here we can also see that expired mil k did not contain any amount of iron in it as it was turned in to urea after expiring. 3) CHAIN OF DISTRIBUTORS:- My final survey was of the chain of distributors we use to distribute our roduct in market we recently changed our distributors an 2012 and had signed a deal with JAVED BROS. chain of distributors. I disguised myself as a new trainee over there and spend a week analyzing the situation over there. I came to know that from past few months they are having a problem of overstocking of Olper`s Milk and as it’s a perishable good it has to be used otherwise the distributor will face loss | | | | (Packets )| | S. No| Month| Order| Demand| 1| September| 30000| 28000| 2| October| 31000| 22810| 2| November| 37000| 29000| The above chat is the ending inventory chart of distributors of Olper`s Milk. This shows that the Distributors are at fault and for their own profit are selling the expired milk by changing its expiry date. 3) DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:- Olper`s Milk is the sign of good taste. Never in past six years such problem has occurred as Engro Foods works with honesty and show complete dedication towards their work. They have even created employment for women in their Sukkur plant and also give employment to women in Punjab to collect milk form dairy farms and deposit in Olper containers. The Facts and Findings of my research also mention the fact that Engro Foods were not at fault. Distributors played a deadly game with us and tried to destroy our good will just off the sake of their own profit. * UHT OLPERS MILK:- Olper`s Milk can never get expired before its expiry date as Engro foods uses UHT(ultra heat treatment)method to pasteurize the milk for 3-4 seconds under 275?. It uses a special new technology LACTOSTAR from China to make sure milk is 100% suitable for health. How to cite Decrease in Supply of Dalda Ghee, Papers

Compare and Contrast Design Patterns free essay sample

In the development of a software solution, either for an enterprise or a much smaller group of end users, there are generally two schools of thought on how to proceed. You could plan and develop a solution completely from scratch, relying on your project teams understanding and innovative design abilities to solve all issues that arise from your development effort. Alternatively, you could make use of a design pattern that gives you a templateto follow towards designing a complete solution that solves different issues for different situations as they arise. That is the idea behind esign patterns. They are not complete solutions themselves that can be magically turned into code. But, they can be used as templates for solving development problems by using the fundamentals behind object-oriented design which define and use the relationships between classes and objects themselves, keeping them general enough to be reused over and over. As you can imagine, because they are generic, there are plenty of design patterns that exist. We will write a custom essay sample on Compare and Contrast Design Patterns or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page They range from the simple to the complex and each has its own pros and cons when deciding which to use in your evelopment project. What follows is a compare and contrast of a sampling of the variety of design patterns in existence. Adapter Design Pattern The first design pattern we will explore is the Adapter pattern, also known as the wrapper pattern. Generally speaking, the adapter design pattern converts one interface for a class or object into another, separate but compatible interface. This allows classes that would normally be autonomous of each, due to incompatibility to work together by supplying a specific interface to the end user, while still making use f the original interface as well. The adapter does the conversion between the two interfaces, and also converts the data that gets used in the forms needed within the overall solution. The adapter design pattern works like a bridge between to vastly different interfaces, making their interaction seamless and easy to control. Factory Design Pattern Another of the many design patterns used during development is the Factory Method design pattern. The factory method pattern is described as an object- oriented, creational design pattern that employs the concept of creating objects ithout exposing the exact instances of those objects code to the client. Instead the client is referred to the new object created through a common interface. Surprisingly enough, this particular design pattern is one of the most widely used, yet not a lot of developers are familiar with it. Primarily, the reason for this is because it is not included in the patterns described by the celebrated Gang-of-Fours design patterns book. The advantages of implementing the Factory method are: Advantages Disadvantages Easy implementation Violates open/closed principle Only requires small changes to code Uses sub-classing Encapsulation Implies tight coupling between class and products Facade Design Pattern The Facade pattern is very commonly used by developers in the software engineering tield The tacade design pattern employs a simple intertace toa larger body of code, such as a class library. This makes your architecture more flexible, and also less vulnerable. The disadvantage of using the Facade pattern is that in certain cases an adapter is used for a particular interface and polymorphic (adaptable) behavior must be supported. Observer Design Pattern Yet another design commonly used design pattern is the Observer or subscription pattern. This design pattern employs an object called a subject, creates a list of subject dependencies (observers), and alerts the observers of state changes or updates by calling a method. An advantage to using the Observer pattern is that its implementation handles distributed events. A disadvantage of using the Observer design pattern is that the overhead for its implementation is sometimes high due to using buffered resources. Proxy Design Pattern Finally, the Proxy design pattern is also a widely used and very functional design pattern. A proxy, in software design, is a class operating as an interface to another resource or object. This object can be a file, a queue, a network connection, or some other resource that is difficult to copy or clone. Due to situations where several copies of intricate objects must be used, the proxy pattern can make use of more lightweight design patterns to lessen the overhead need to maintain them. The advantage of using the Proxy design pattern is that multiple proxy objects can be reated, all of which contain a reference to the original, Just like pointers.
